An inter house wall painting competition for IX-XII was organized. The theme for painting was “Folk Art”. The final judgement was made by the special guests Mr.Bhanu Srivastava and Durgesh Atal who both are realistic artist. The criteria for judgement were Theme,Composition ,Neatness,Overall Presentation.
Students of senior classes of St. Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar, Jaipur gathered on 18 Feb 2017 to bid farewell to the outgoing class XII batch. The day was memorable for XII std students as the years spent together with friends and teachers to reminisce joyous moments.
St Edmund's School is trying to do a bit from their by donating Sweaters to 200 and above school children from slum areas. The woollens were donated to these children on the auspicious day of Basant Panchami when we worship Goddess Saraswati who is synonymous to intellect and learning . When our team reached school the children were already busy celebrating the festival but once they came to know about the reason of our visit everyone gathered around us.
St. Edmund’s School Sector-5, Jawahar Nagar, Jaipur celebrated Basant Panchami which marks the end of winter season and onset of spring. The celebration commenced in the morning assembly when all students and teachers were gathered for prayer, the students were informed about the importance of the day and why it is celebrated. The students also offered their prayer to Goddess Saraswati. To mark the occasion the Pre-Primary children came dressed in yellow clothes, offered yellow coloured flower to the Goddess and also brought yellow coloured snacks to share with each other.
A very special session by Sunita Narain India's most influential writer and environmentalist from CSE this session was attended by our students at Jaipur Literature Festival. CSE is the same organisation which has certified our school as Green school of India.
Once again on 16th Jan 2017, it was a great opportunity for the students of St. Edmunds Sector 5, Jawahar Nagar Jaipur, when they got the proud privilege of having an interactive session in the distinguished personalities of 23 Australian Universities like Curtin University, University of Melbourne, University of Sydney, University of South Australian, UTS Insearch, Western Sydney University, etc. Through, this interactive session senior students resolved their queries regarding higher education, scholarships, and the scope of admission into Universities.
Christmas is the time to give & forgive, celebrated everywhere. St. Edmunds Jawhar Nagar, Jaipur celebrated it as a happy time for children. Our little children of pre-School participated in the Christmas party and joined Santa Claus in singing jingle bells. After that students visited the church where they were part of service and the father told them more about Christmas. Dr. Pooja Singh in her inspired words. The more we get closer to God, the more we become his children.
Many students are unable to meet the cost of attending school. Keeping this in mind St. Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar, Jaipur adopted a Government Sanskrit School situated at Gopalpura Byepass, Jaipur to bring a smile on innocent faces worth billions….for this Edmund’s family raised a respectable amount for the charity which was appreciated by everyone.
Edmundites visited France just before the Christmas and had Gala time. They visited the famous Eiffel Tower, Disneyland, Notre Dame Cathedral, Musee du Louvre, Champs-Élysées and other tourist attractions. The students stayed with the french families and were also shown the place which are rarely sheen as a tourist this really made the trip a memorable one. Students also got the opportunity to take some lessons in school which broadened their vision and understood the real importance of Global education.
St.Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar Jaipur was filled with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere on 19th November 2016 as it celebrated the Annual Sport Meet at Rajasthan Sports University ground. Almost all the students from Pre-primary to Senior Secondary participated in the event. Mr. Ajoy Sadany DIG (RPF) was the Chief Guest, Mr. Surendra Pareek (MLA) and Prof. M.S. Chundawat Secretary Sports Board were the Guests of Honour. The Sports Day commenced with the release of balloons by the Director along with guests.
