St.Edmund’s School Jawahar Nagar Jaipur conducted a workshop on 2nd Aug 2016 for the senior students. In this workshop many famous universities from the U.S.A. like Hillsborough Community College, New York Film Academy, Ohio University, Savannah College of Art and Design, Suny Plattsburgh, University of California, University at Buffalo, University of Oklahoma, Washington and Jefferson College, etc. guided students about various career options available and how they can become a part of it. They also highlighted the scholarships granted by these universities for higher studies.

Students along with their teachers from different schools like Maheshwari Public School, Cambridge Court, Mahaveer Public School, Malviya Convent, and more were a part of this workshop and were curious to know about the different patterns of studies. The main motive of this workshop was to provide detailed information about the different universities and the list of courses offered by them. An open discussion was held, where students tried to sort out their confusion.

Dr. Pooja Singh urged that we all need guidance, inspiration, motivation and passion to re-shape our future and our beliefs to keep us on the path to success.

 

One day there will be no borders, no flags, and no individual country and the only passport will be the heart. Keeping this in mind “A Global School Connect Program” was conducted in St. Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar, Jaipur on 29 th July. It was a platform for delegates from different schools of Europe as well as from India to initiate new partnerships through the student Exchange Program. A warm welcome was given to the delegates and it was supplemented by a colorful culture show and P.PT presentation organized by the students. In this Programme delegates from Germany, France, Scotland, Bulgaria, etc participated. An open discussion took place where the delegates from different schools from India as well as from Europe interacted with each other and the co-ordinators from M.G.D. school, Mayoor School (Ajmer), Rukmani Modern School and The Palace School tried to exchange ideas about making teaching and learning more student-friendly. The Guest of Honour Mr. V.K.Singh said that this visit gave delegates and teachers an opportunity to showcase their culture and advancement in modern times and in turn to learn about the finer nuances of different teaching patterns. Along with him the International co-ordinator of Scotland Ms.Susan Coontz, Was present.  Dr. Pooja Singh in her speech said that the main aim of this program was to promote cross-culture understanding, equipping young people with the key to future skills needed to live in the world of diverse faith and beliefs. International co-ordinator from Scotland Ms. Susan Coontz said that the purpose of this program was to explore different educational practices, compare the challenges and strengths, and to adopt the best practices beneficial for the teaching-learning process. At last Deputy Director, Mr.Kapil Singh expressed his views by saying that it was a special moment where the delegates interacted with each other, which helped them to better understand each other’s teaching pattern.

It gives us immense pleasure to announce that our school has been awarded with the Green School Award by Centre of Science and Environment (CSE). We feel proud to declare that we secured 30th rank amongst 106 schools from India and the only School in Jaipur. The school thrives on its motto to make this world a better place by using all means to save energy and thus 70% "GREEN" St. Edmund's School is hoping to achieve 100% soon.

St. Edmund’s school celebrated the most awaited event of the year; it is the time when every child looks up to his God on earth. It’s time to celebrate mother’s day. The pre-primary wing of the school organized card making activity in all the classes. The tiny tots displayed their talent and love for their mother. Dr. Pooja Singh appreciated the beautiful show put up by the kids displaying unconditional love for their mothers. Students made a portrait of their mother which touched the heart of everybody present there. The Administrator congratulated and inspired the kids to pay respect to their mothers and to obey her wholeheartedly.

The Investiture Ceremony of the new cabinet was held in St. Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar, Jaipur. Administrator triggered off the ceremony amidst the galore of the students. The cabinet members marched sprightly and majestically in sync with the beating of drum on the School ground. To instill a dose of motivation to the new members the programme commenced with a solemn invocation to the almighty followed by a soulful rendition of Edmund’s song. Head Boy Rudresh Ozha, Head girl Bhawna Punjabi along with House Captains, cultural Captains & Sports Captains were honoured with badges and sashes by the Administrator. The students council took the pledge to hold the school motto of loyalty, truth and honour in high esteem. Administrator Dr. Pooja Singh congratulated the new cabinet members and in her speech she said that with power comes great responsibility and advised them to be role models for other students. Deputy Director Mr. Kapil Singh congratulated the badge holders and encouraged them to excel in their future endeavours.
