The idea of setting up Heritage Club in schools is to make the students aware and be proud of the richness of the natural and cultural heritage in their own locality, state and country. With the motive of creating awareness and participation in heritage related activities among the students St Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar formed Dharohar heritage club in collaboration with INTACH. Students organized an event which began with Ganesh Vandana followed by variety of different dialect activities such as Marwadi, Gujrati, Sindhi, Haryanvi and Punjabi. Inspired by the vast heritage of India, the students of INTACH Club made a power point presentation through which they introduce everyone with different cultures and dance forms. Versatile performance of Adhyatm Jagdhari, grade 12th was icing on the cake.

At the end, Principal Anu Bhatia gave a motivating speech & said “Youth is a bridge between cultures and heritage, therefore, they can be considered as agents to promote heritage and intercultural understanding.” The students of St Edmund’s are always encouraged to become the custodians of protecting India’s cultural heritage through meaningful acts.”
