In a collaborative initiative led by Ms. Gadick Gortina, a French educator and the coordinator of the school exchange programme, a two-day exchange event was successfully conducted on April 7 and 8 at Mahatma Gandhi Government School, C-Scheme. Students and teachers from both countries enthusiastically participated in several creative and educational activities with the students of the government school. The event stood as a vibrant example of international collaboration and cultural exchange.
A major highlight of the programme was a remarkable wall painting that artistically represented the world map in a unique and distinctive way. This mural beautifully captured the essence of the theme “One World, One Nation.” Notably, young students from the government school were also involved in this artistic activity, promoting a spirit of collaboration, creativity, and global unity.
In addition to the mural, students engaged in making colorful thread bracelets and took part in various fun and interactive games. These activities fostered creativity, teamwork, and a deeper sense of cultural exchange among the children.
To promote awareness about health and hygiene, St. Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar also distributed oral hygiene kits to the students of the government school.
This exchange programme proved to be not only academically enriching but also instrumental in instilling values of global friendship, equality, and cultural understanding in young minds. The successful event demonstrated that when people from diverse backgrounds come together, a beautiful fusion of knowledge, art, and empathy is possible.
