American delegates Mr. Stephen J. Stembelt and Dr. JANET BUSTRIN from Columbia School, New York visited St. Edmund’s, Jawahar Nagar to get acquainted with the teaching skills being practiced at school. They were really impressed with the innovative methods and aids used by the teachers to explain certain topics of English, Maths, and Science. Dr. Bustrin even taught in the Std. X where Julius Ceaser was being taught as she herself is an English teacher, so she could not resist herself when ‘William Shakespeare’ was discussed. They were welcomed by the students, staff, and management in a typical Indian way. They accompanied the students in their classes and interviewed them on various topics to analyze the standards of students at various levels. They appreciated the educational level of the children and compared it with the students of the U.S.A. In the end, they thanked Director Dr. Sudhir K. Singh. They concluded their visit in a single sentence. ‘India is simply superb.’
