Dr. Pooja Singh, and Mr. Kapil Singh, from St. Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar, Jaipur, India visited Wellington School, Ayrshire, Scotland, UK during the first week of June’ 2012. They visited all the classes of Wellington school and interacted with the staff and the pupils. The students of primary classes Pr. I to Pr. V were interested in learning the Hindi language. They tried to speak and write Hindi. On the other hand the students of senior classes were keen to know about the life style, daily routine, and career options of the Indian students. They were very conscious about their career. Apart from their formal visit under the exchange program. They witnessed the relay of the Olympic Torch and the grand processions of the Queen's Coronation (Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth) During their stay they also attended the sports day of Wellington School, where students, as well as their parents, participated in fun races. Dr. Pooja Singh was the chief guest & was given floral welcome by the kids and she presented the awards to the winners of the sports meet. In school, they saw various labs like language lab art & craft lab, Science, and Technology labs all the labs were well equipped with the latest techniques and equipment. Then they had a talk with former students as well as present students and came to know that this school possessed a grand reputation over the years. In brief, this Global School Partnership was quite memorable and shall enhance the performance of both the schools at various levels.
