IV Ranbir Singh Memorial Taekwondo & Skating Tournament was organized at St. Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar. It was an Interschool Competition in which 300 students from 20 schools participated. The competition was inaugurated on 16th Dec. 2013 by Director Dr. Sh. Sudhir Kumar Singh and declared the opening of the tournament. It was a six-days event categorized according to ‘Weight and Age’ of the participants. There were different groups for boys and girls as well.
In Taekwondo Competition from 20 to 30 kg in the categories of boys of St. Edmund's School Divyanshu, Lakshay and Aditya Saini won the Gold Medal while Yaksham of Step-by-Step School, Rushank of Indo Bharat School and Rajesh of Beetles School won the Silver Medal. On the other hand Mohit Verma of MPS won the Gold Medal, Rishiraj of SRN International School bagged Silver and Harinder of Indo Bharat School won the Bronze Medal in 35kg category. In 20 to 45 kg the categories of Girls Meetu Meharwal of St. Edmund's School, Anjali Meena, Neha Meena, Kajal Roy of Indo Bharat School, Lucky Kumari of Beetels School and Divya Sharma of Neerja Modi School won the Gold Medal, Silver Medal was also won by Navya of St. Edmund's School, Nikita, Komal Choudhary and Purva of Indo Bharat School, Palak Sharma of Beetles School, Preksha Bajaj of MGPS and Suhani of Sanskar School. Bronze Medal was also won by Jahanvi and Himanshi of St. Edmund's School, Chetnya of Vidhya Ashram School, Dristhi and Arpita Gupta of Sadhu Vaswani School, Aditi Meena of MPS and Nisha of Indo Bharat School. In Skating Competition from age group 6 to 16 yrs. of girls category Neetu Maharwal of St. Edmund's School, Vrinda of SV Public School, Aditi & Jhanvi of Vidhya Asharm, Krisha and Charnal Yadav won the Gold Medal and on the other hand under the age group of 6 to 19 yrs. boys categories Aarav and Dhruv Raj of Sanskar School, Uday Sharma and Vikas Meena of Beetles School, Rohit, Ankit and Saurabh Chouhan of Malviya Convent School won the Gold Medal. The school administration took care for the general rules and Management of the various events. Winners of various categories were awarded with Gold, Silver & Bronze Medals.
Trophies were given to the best player (Boy & Girl) of the tournament. Teams of various schools were awarded trophies. In the Closing Ceremony, the Principal gave away the prizes to winners and highlighted the importance of games and Taekwondo & Skating for the development of social and emotional skills in student life.
