To create awareness about protecting our planet and preserving the environment, St Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar celebrated Earth Day. The theme for Earth Day 2021 was " Restore Our Earth".Our students have shown their love and respect for our mother earth by doing great efforts by planting saplings and creating things such as a pen stand, waste bin, and decorative items from the things available at home. They were sensitized about the importance of saving the environment by making posters and drawings. Students also created consciousnessˈand set an example by making a marvelous parachute mother earth project by USA-based NGO at the International level by spreading positivity on the eve of Earth Day. All Edmundites took the ‘green pledge’ along with their educators and pledged to become global citizens and work for the cause of sustainable development.

To inculcate the habit of deep learning St. Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar in collaboration with the Embassy of France, organized a screening of a French Film (Stars by the Pound) followed by a workshop which was resourced by Film pedagogical experts Neha Jain and Anne Doshi. The movie screening followed by the fruitful workshop was the cherry on the cake. It was such an enriching session about the media's influence on different body types and shapes. The workshop comprises 2 activities based on “being me”. The students took a great interest in the Question/Answer round which was about knowing their perception of beauty and how to deal with the critics and disabilities.

The idea of comprehensive learning was a great success, as students enjoyed watching the knowledgeful content and learned to inculcate the idea in their lives.
