International Youth Festival

The students of St. Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar, participated in the “International Youth Festival” organized by CMS School, Lucknow. The event was held between 3rd Dec to 7th Dec 2022. It was a mega event as 60 teams from all over India and 17 teams from other countries including Nepal, Sri Lanka & Russia participated.

Qualified for National level Taekwondo tournament

It is a matter of pride for all of us that "Bhavesh Jangid", a promising class X student of St Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar brought laurels to the school by grabbing 1st position & gold medal in Taekwondo (under 19/50 kg) state level tournament held at Bikaner 2022, organised by RBSE.
School Joint director Dr Pooja Singh congratulated wished him all the good luck and success in future as well.

Honi Arora selected in RBSE National level Chess tournament

Honi Arora, a class XI student of St Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar brought laurels to the school by grabbing 5th position & trophy in RBSE state level Chess tournament 2022 and selected in RBSE National level Chess tournament organised in Bikaner. This event was a special milestone for all the chess masters present there competing with each other.
School director Dr Sudhir Kumar Singh congratulated and motivated him to participate in more and more such prestigious competitions and wished him good luck for future endeavours.

Visit to Dr B. Lal Institute of Biotechnology

Students of St. Edmund’s School Jawahar Nagar visited Dr B. Lal Institute of Biotechnology to attend the Science workshop "Biotechniques 2022 - For New Born Scientist" organized for Biology students. Biotechnology is the life science, which generally deals with the study of living organisms. They learned about the applications of biology and other different techniques to change or modify products for specific human use.

Waste Warriors

St. Edmund's School, Jawahar Nagar Association with CSE (Centre for Science and Environment) began working diligently in this direction since 2015, The initiative engaged our young Edmundites and staff members in various projects and offered them a multi-disciplinary approach to understanding the environment.

Heritage club in collaboration with INTACH

The idea of setting up Heritage Club in schools is to make the students aware and be proud of the richness of the natural and cultural heritage in their own locality, state and country. With the motive of creating awareness and participation in heritage related activities among the students St Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar formed Dharohar heritage club in collaboration with INTACH. Students organized an event which began with Ganesh Vandana followed by variety of different dialect activities such as Marwadi, Gujrati, Sindhi, Haryanvi and Punjabi.

“Astitva” The pearls of positivity

On Teachers’ Day, Mrs. Meena Singh, Director Academics at St. Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar, released her autobiography named “Astitva: The pearls of positivity.”
Mr Rafeeq Khan Member of Parliament and president of minority cell, having independent charge as a state minister presided over the program.Mr Neeraj Agarwal Municipal Councilor Jawahar Nagar ,Mr Sharad Gaur devotee to the party & handling National president of Rahul Gandhi Manch ,Manoj Thakwani worker of Congress party, were guest of honor.

IC3 Movement Annual Conference

Deputy Director Mr Kapil Singh and Joint Director Dr Pooja Singh from St Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar participated in IC3 Movement Annual Conference which is dedicated to helping young people across the globe find career paths through education. With the goal to impact over 100,000 high schools over a 15-year period, the IC3 Movement Annual Conference seeks to enable high schools to help their students make best-fit higher education and career decisions.

Janmashtami Celebration

To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, Janmashtami was celebrated at St Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar on 18th August, 2022 with mirth and joy.
To celebrate the extraordinary bond between children and the Almighty, the staff took the opportunity to both jubilate and learn with the young minds. The students dressed up as lord Krishna and Radha, with flutes, peacock feathers and matkas. The premise was decorated beautifully and the spirit of festivity was enhanced with Jhankis depicting life history of Lord Krishna.

Capacity Building “Prospective Resource Person’s Programme"

The Central Board of Secondary Education organized a “Capacity Building “Prospective Resource Person’s Programme” on English ‘X’ held from July 21st, 2022 to July 22nd, 2022, Rajan Sharma from Birla School Pilani, Ms Cherry Goyal, PGT English from MGD were the resource persons.
