St. Edmund organized winter carnival took place on 29th Dec2017 in the school premises. The principal of Wellington School Mr Simon Johnsson inaugurated the fete along with International coordinator Mrs Susan M. Coontz was the guest of honour. The Theme for the carnival was based on Rajasthan and West Bengal, which shows the culture of two very different states. Every class put up stalls with various items and contributed towards the betterment of the institution.

A wonderful day of fun for the entire family. Stalls, food, games, prizes, cakes, bouncy, face painters.The Photobooth was a crowd pleaser with the instant entertainment…..an event not to be missed. The school ground pulsated with lively music and enthusiastic crowds.

Gaily decorated stalls welcomed the visitors. The stalls put by the students on Handicrafts, showcasing, their artistic and creative abilities through a variety of products were indeed a crowd puller.

St. Edmund’s Jawahar Nagar in association with MNIT Innovation and Incubation Centre organized a session on Enterpreneurship awareness on 16.12.17 .The aim of the event was to give information to teachers so that they can help to encourage the young & talented students to develop India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The event started with welcoming of guests by Dr. Sudhir Kr Singh (director) of St. Edmund’s school followed by the keynote given by Prof. Awadhesh Bharadwaj (Head MNIT, MIIC) followed by Dr. Monica Sharma,Coordinator MNIT Innovation and Incubation Center . Schools like St. Xavier’s, Sawai Man Singh Vidhyalaya, Subodh, Sanskar ,MPS,The Palace school and others actively participated in the event.
St. Edmunds has been a bridge between the young and innovative students to come up and make prototypes in Atal Tinkering Lab. The session helped the students for deciding and shaping their career.

St. Edmund’s Jawahar Nagar has earned the prestigious ISA (British Council International school award) reaccreditation for 2017-20.The never ending efforts, enthusiastic participation of students and teachers in all activities have made this award possible.
The British council International school award (ISA) is an accreditation scheme that recognizes & celebrates exemplary practices of internationalism in schools.
The project was based on creating awareness about famous personalities of different countries i.e. France, Scotland, Germany. The students were motivated to promote self-discovery and respect for other culture. Various activities like preparing book marks, pen holders, charts and posters won the hearts. Dramas, role play and PPT were amazing and thought provoking. The students used many sources for collecting information like Internet, books, magazines, videos, teachers and parents.
The International school award has allowed student to broaden their knowledge of the world around them with the aim of hopefully becoming a more rounded global citizen.
The award has been bestowed upon the school for effective and efficient implementation of International ethos into its curriculum for classes Pre nursery to XII.

St. Edmund’s school, Jawahar Nagar and St. Dominique Institute, France organized the cultural exchange programme of 10 days.
The exchange program comprising of 13 students was headed by Mr. Ishaan Singh (Asst.Director) Mr. Jaikishan Rawtani(HOD Physics) and Mrs. Jyoti Badlani (Middle section Coordinator) .
The teachers and students were given a warm welcome by St. Dominique Institute.
Various workshops were organized in schools that had very good impact on students. Students visited Disneyland, Eiffel tower, Galerie Lafayette, Chocolate and perfume factories. Edmundites visited France just before the Christmas Eve so they got engaged in decorating Christmas trees and making gifts for their families. They were engrossed in cake and cookies making activities. The host families had organized Star Gaze night party in order to ameliorate the cultural habits of each other. During their stay they got the opportunity to attend classes to observe the teaching methods and also participate in various co-curricular activities.

Annual Function 2017

St. Edmund’s Jawahar Nagar celebrated its grand annual day on 23rd Nov2017 at Birla auditorium amidst great enthusiasm and zeal. It was based on the theme “Aarambh” A new beginning. The theme itself motivates to put all efforts to convert worldly flaws into virtues and it indicates to the new era of success, peace, harmony and compassion.

The function was presided by the esteemed Chief Guest Mr. Jagdish Chandra (CEO Zee news regional channel and DNA). The event commenced with garlanding the divine, lighting the inaugural lamp and paying tribute to Late Shri Ranbir Singh Ji the founder of the institution. The school Head boy and Head girl delivered the welcome speech and attended the guests in a traditional manner. The programme was followed by the enchanting notes of Welcome song presented by the students.

The Annual report of the school was displayed with the felicitation ceremony by school Principal, Mrs. Anu Bhatia. All the meritorious students as well as students with outstanding performance were awarded.

The beautiful evening proceeded further with the speech delivered by the hon’ble chief guest Mr. Jagdish Chandra.

The captivating cultural programme commenced with the devotional performance by the students where they gave a tribute to Lord Shiva.
The impact of negativity in the world, purity of heart, innocence in the nature attributes of humanity and caring aspects of human life were shown by the students in their presentations.

The children heartily enjoyed the enthusiastic performance based on the title “Hard work”. Dance performances based on the beautiful emotions like peace, compassion and courage moved the hearts of every single present there at the auditorium.

The team Mispa and the teachers incharges for performances were appreciated, moreover St. Edmund’s took a great initiative by giving a platform to the under privileged children of government school, adopted by them.
The cultural evening ended with the Vote of Thanks and National anthem. It was a memorable day for every participant as well as in the annuals of St. Edmund’s School.
