St. Edmund ’s School, Jawahar Nagar celebrated 72nd Independence day and remembered with gratitude the sacrifice of the freedom fighter.
The celebration began in the school premises with the unfurling of the National flag followed by a speech with patriotic zeal and fervour.
Tiny tots of the pre-primary classes held a musical presentation of patriotic songs. The occasion concluded with the National Anthem, Vande Mataram, evoking the feeling of patriotism among all present.
Our School Principal Mrs Anu Bhatia emphasised the need for self-discipline along with freedom and liberty as essential ingredients for the countries’ growth and development.

Jayesh Kalra, Janesh Balchandani and Dhruv Mittal of class XII Science students of St.Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar bagged the 3rd position out of 250 teams and won 30000/- cash prize in an Entrepreneurial competition organised by Anand International college in association with Dainik Bhasker.

The Joint Director of the School, Dr Pooja Singh congratulated and felicitated the students and told them to be successful they need to grab every opportunity and put in sincere efforts.
School Principal Mrs Anu Bhatia also wished them all the good luck and success in future as well.

The Central Board of Secondary Education organized a “Capacity Building Programme” on English Class X, Mrs Sita A.kumar, Educator with experience of 30years as a lecturer in BITS, Pilani and various schools in India and International
school in Dubai. Mphil, B. Ed, and Ms Cherry Goyal, PGT Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls School were the resource persons.
The workshop aspired to cast light on tips for the lesson plan. Teachers from the various school participated in this workshop. It was a training workshop for deepening teachers’ knowledge of the intriguing subject. Learning-based activities were conducted to make teaching-learning more effective and interesting. Various handouts/PPT presentations were given by the resource persons.
Teachers appreciated the use of innovative ideas and proactively took part in brainstorming activities and discussions. They gave presentations on lesson plan based on the first flight/grammar curriculum and writing skills. The enthusiastic involvement was commendable. Participants’ queries in some of the challenging areas were elucidated.
The workshop was quite informative and productive as it gave an integrated overview for setting up of question papers. The participants gained a lot of assistance in developing a strategy for effective teaching.
Lastly, Joint director Dr Pooja Singh and Mrs Anu Bhatia expressed her warm appreciation to resource person and to the teachers as it was a fruitful session for all the faculty who attended the event.

On Monday, July 15, St. Edmunds School, Jawahar Nagar Jaipur hosted a discussion on the topic of sensitivity towards the more vulnerable sections of society. Students from RAJKIYA UCH MADHYAMIC SANSKRIT VIDYALAYA(our adopted government school) were asked questions about their lives, their aspirations and other questions related to their studies. The whole school also sang melodies and learned to play instruments. The Edmundites organized activities for their students from the government school, like pebble painting, short quiz and others. Many students participated and the confident answers and positive thinking of the students from both schools made the event a great success.

St. Edmund’s school Jawahar Nagar Jaipur celebrated 45th foundation day. On this auspicious occasion Director, Dr Sudhir Singh and Principal Mrs Anu Bhatia paid tribute to Late Ranbir Singh ji (the founder of St. Edmund’s) by garlanding his portrait. Edmundities organized a special assembly in which they got a chance to reflect not only the beginnings of the school but also on the significant development since the school inception.
It has been a milestone in the journey of the school which has grown from humble beginnings to its eminent stature today.
The celebrations ended with an inspiring and motivational speech by the school director Dr Sudhir Singh.
