Rang De Jaipur

Students from St. Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar, Jaipur had participated in this year “Rang de Jaipur”. The event, which was organized by Let's Contree, an NGO that promotes and organizes community service projects, took place from 29 September -2 October 2018 at Jaipur Junction.

Nineteen Edmundities exhibited their innovative ideas through their artwork on the event’s theme -sports & active citizens along with 300 volunteers and 140 artists.

For the event, students painted murals on the walls of Jaipur Junction. Some students chose to paint scenes from sports games, such as a soccer player kicking a ball. All of the students’ excellent artwork was appreciated by the renowned artists and passers-by who visited the event. Principal Mrs Anu Bhatia appreciated the active participation of students and dedication towards making the city clean and colourful.

Appreciation Certificate from NASA

2018 Space Settlement Design Contest

Two students from St. Edmund’s school participated in an annual completion hosted by NASA Ames research center to brainstorm innovative ideas about space settlement and extraterrestrial life.
The two students Divyanshu Jhamtani and Kashish Jhamtani mentored by Mr JK Rawtani(HOD Physics)and Mrs Marudhara Avasthi created a list of criteria necessary for life to exist on another planet, for example, the students mentioned that gravity, water and gaseous atmosphere are prerequisites for life.

The students received appreciation certificates from the NASA Ames research centre in recognition of the quality of their project.

Felicitation Ceremony

This Teacher’s Day, the Konark Teacher’s Society presented Deputy Director Mr Kapil Singh and Joint Director Dr Pooja Singh with awards for innovative teaching, in recognition of the excellent work they have done at St. Edmund’s School.
We at St. Edmund’s are extremely grateful for the work Mr Kapil Singh and Dr Pooja Singh have done, and continue to do, to enrich the academic lives of their students. We feel very fortunate to have them as our mentors. Their efforts have raised the school to new heights and enhanced its national and international reputation.

Janmashtami Celebration

Janmashtami was celebrated with great zeal and pomp by the children of the Pre-Primary wing at St. Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar
Children came dressed in, as Krishna and Radha and other colourful outfits. Students were told about Krishna's life and his thoughts, which form a part of the holy book 'Bhagwad Gita'. They made and wore Peacock feather head-gears and decorated matkas and flutes. The Pre-primary was decorated colourfully with Jhankis depicting the birthplace of Lord Krishna and Krishna Jhoola. A special assembly was conducted to mark the birth of the deity. Children celebrated the occasion by singing and dancing with great joy. The involvement of the children in the celebrations at such a tender age was worth applauding. Later they enjoyed some fresh butter and Kheer.

Catch Them Young

Catch Them, Young

St. Edmunds, Jawahar Nagar in collaboration with MNIT-MIIC(Malviya Innovation and Incubation Centre) organized an entrepreneurial challenge “Catch Them Young”, a two-day event on 24 and 25 Aug18. The competition gave students the opportunity to conceive, realize, promote, nurture, and showcase their knowledge-based innovation and entrepreneurial talent. On the first day of the event, about 130 students from 20 schools in Jaipur competed in teams to advance to the next round. From this group, eleven teams were selected on the basis of the quality of their ideas by an expert panel. We are proud to announce that both of the teams from St. Edmund’s School that participated in the competition were chosen in the final round and achieved top two positions. The teams were mentored by Kapil Singh (Deputy Director) and benefitted from the guidance of Dr.Amit Kumar Rawtani(HOD Chemistry) and Jai Kishan Rawtani(HOD Physics & International Counsellor). As a result of their selection, the teams from St. Edmund’s School will receive mentorship from successful entrepreneurs and will have the opportunity to incubate their ideas at the MIIC. With the aid of these resources, the students will be able to turn their ideas into reality.
